The Mt. Fuji Marathon is the most popular resort marathon, being the race with the most beautiful scenery in Japan. The attraction is that you can enjoy Japan's most sacred mountain, Mt. Fuji, the trees that still have autumn foliage, and the clear waters of Lake Kawaguchi all at once. The course has relatively few ups and downs, so it is popular with beginners trying their first marathon, as well as advanced runners aiming to break their records.
