Yamanashi Gem Museum

Yamanashi Gem Museum[Yamanashi Hoseki Hakubutsukan]
A fantastic hall where jewels glitter in the dark. We are exhibiting 500 items of about 3000 kinds of precious gems collected from all over the world.
A museum specializing in jewelry built in Yamanashi Prefecture, which has the largest shipment value of jewelry in Japan. There are many precious gems that cannot be seen at ordinary jewelry stores, such as the largest 1.8-meter-high crystal in Japan and the 146-carat aquamarine. In addition, the museum shop on the premises sells a wide range of products, from natural stone goods that are popular as souvenirs to authentic jewelry products. You can enjoy shopping with peace of mind while consulting with the staff who have a wealth of expertise unique to the museum. It is also possible to use only the shop.
A set of 3 items, rough stones, cut stones, and jewelry products, is exhibited. You can see the process of the birth of glittering gems.
A giant crystal from Brazil that stands out in the center of the exhibition room. Quartz crystallizes in hexagonal columns. A work of art created by nature.
