Myohonji Temple

Myohonji Temple[Myo Hongji]
It is a temple of the Hokke sect, and its official name is Chokozan Myohonji.It used to be called Kotokuji Temple of the Shingon sect, and it is said that it originated from the fact that local believers tied Soan when Kukaijin visited the area for missionary work in Konin 13 (822).It is said that Chokozan Myohonji was founded in 1292 by converting to the Hokke sect.Kaisan is a Japanese lawyer.There is a main hall, a guest hall, a kuri, and a natural monument, Inuzakura, which are tangible cultural properties designated by the town.

From Kawaguchiko Station, take the Retro Bus Saiko / Aokigahara Line and get off at "Roadside Station Katsuyama".
